16 April 2016 - Last week one of our employee has passed "Linkedin Certified Professional Recruiter" exam and awarded with its license. In this respect, we have also given us the title of being the first company in Turkey with this title. I am thankful to all our friends and colleagues who congratulated us after this success that we announced from social platforms. However, some comments were a warning to us to explain a point that we missed. What is this "LinkedIn Certified Professional Recruiter" license? Is it necessary to have it? What is LinkedIn Certification?

The LinkedIn Certified Professional - Recruiter certification shows that you're an expert in recruitment using LinkedIn Recruiter. That's how Linkedin defined its certification at https://certification.linkedin.com. LinkedIn certified professional recruiters certification demonstrates that you are an expert in candidate recruitment processes using your LinkedIn Recruiter product. Anyone who wishes to take this certificate may apply for the exam. The exam can be held at LinkedIn authorized testing centers or at any place you wish by satisfying the technical requirements of LinkedIn. The exam is done online. A fast and seamless internet connection, camera infrastructure is required. Your exam is being supervised online, recorded, and you do not have the opportunity to make irregularities in any examinations.

This certificate is issued to individuals, not institutions. Anyone who pays financial compensation can have the LinkedIn Recruiter product, but not every LinkedIn Recruiter is a good LinkedIn Recruiter user. Having a LinkedIn Recruiter license does not guarantee that you are using the LinkedIn Recruiter product properly but having the  "Linkedin Certified Professional Recruiter" license does.
